Explore Kwale
Located in south coast of Kenya, this richly blessed county has rainforests and national parks which are great for the nature explorer. Kwale County has four major topographical features namely the coastal plain, the foot plateau, the coastal uplands and the Nyika plateau.
The County is hot and dry from January to April while June to August is the coolest period of the year. The average temperature of the county is 20 to 24 degrees C. The county also has rich titanium deposits that already have extraction being done.

Kwale County offers an abundance of fun activities due to its many topographical features. There are many tourist attractions in Kwale County. These include national parks and reserves, historical sites, and beautiful beaches along the southern coastline. You can engage in watersports activities, engage in extreme sports like skydiving or take a sunset dhow ride. It is the perfect place to unwind and re-energize.

With several islands and beaches, Kwale County is the best in Kenya for watersports, beach vacations, and luxury experiences. You could visit the Shimba Hills National Reserve, or engage in watersports, like scuba diving, kite surfing, at Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park.
Visit the Kongo Mosque and Kongo River Estuary. Take a sunset cruise to Wasini Island. Enjoy serene nature walks and birdwatching at Kaya Kinondo Sacred Forest. Visit the Diani Chale Marine National Park and Reserve. Go on aneco-tour of the Colobus Conservation Centre. See the beauty that is the Sheldrick Falls within Shimba Hills National Park. Explore the Shimoni caves. Visit the Jungle Snake Park in Mwamanga as well as Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary.

How to get around
There are three ways to get to Kwale County. The fastest is by flight. There are scheduled daily flights from Nairobi’s JKIA and Wilson Airport to Ukunda Airport, Diani. The most scenic route is always by road. Alternatively you could get there by rail from Nairobi. This includes a ride on the Madaraka Express train and a transfer from the Mombasa SGR terminus. Travel within the county is by road. A private car is ideal but you could also get around via matatus or tuk tuks.
