Manyara Region is home to the spectacular Lake Manyara.

Lake Manyara is in the northern part of the region. It is bordered to the north by the Arusha Region, to the northeast by the Kilimanjaro Region, to the east by the Tanga Region, to the south by the Dodoma Region, to the southeast by the Morogoro Region, to the southwest by the Singida Region, and to the northwest by the Simiyu Region. The highest mountain in the Manyara Region is Mount Hanang. The temperature Range during the cold months is 15-20˚C. This is usually November to May. During the hot months the temperature range is 25-32˚C. This is usually between June to October.
Manyara Adventures
Lake Manyara National Park centers around its self-named alkaline lake, that is a key habitat for hundreds of bird species. Surrounding the lake are marshlands, grassy plains and acacia woodlands, home to tree-climbing lion and long-tusked elephant. Giraffes strut across the grasslands, where herds of buffalo, zebra and wildebeest graze.

What to See and Do
You can enjoy game drives and walking safaris, where you will get to see the flora and fauna of the National Park, in their natural habitat. A visit to the Maji Moto hot springs to soak in the warm, clear water under the shade of leafy trees. Lake Manyara is only 90 minutes from Arusha by car and easy to combine with a safari in the Serengeti, or the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Manyara region offers very authentic safari style hotels. This excellent balance between luxury and its environment between comfort and being in the middle of nowhere is absolutely divine.
How to Get Around
There are two ways to get from Nairobi to Manyara Region. As best advised the picturesque route is by road which takes approximately 7 hours to Manyara. You can either go by shuttle or a private vehicle. The alternative is by air. which take approximately 3 hours to Lake Manyara, Moshi from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. The best and most convenient way to travel throughout the region is by 4by4 vehicles due to the general terrain in the outskirts of the town and the park.
